Tell A Fariy Tale Day

According to Holiday Insights, today, February 26th is Tell A Fairy Tale Day. What does that mean you ask? Well I’ll let them explain:

This is a day that Fairy Tales are made of (and for). It’s Tell a Fairy Tale Day . Today is a great opportunity to read your kids. If the kids aren’t around, its certainly okay to read them alone. We all know that everybody loves a good fairy tale.

To qualify as a fairy tale, a story does not have to begin with “Once upon a time…..”. But, they usually do. It is a requirement that the story has a happy ending. There’s nothing better than a good story that ends with “and they all lived happily ever after”.

On Fairy Tale Day, cozy up under a blanket with the kids and read “the good book”….a fairy tale book. Libraries and schools will often mark this day with special fairy tale readings and story hour.

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon, then with an adventure that will help you travel to a far away lands filled with love, wicked witches and animals that talk.  I decided to spend the afternoon browsing through one of my favorite fairy tales, “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll. Oh and by the way, how GORGEOUS is this cover –>

Another fun browse to put you in the Fairy Tale mood is this amazing website that features 15 Beautiful Minimalist Fairy Tale Posters created by artist, Christian Jackson.

Here are a couple of my favorites that I’ve also shared on Pinterest:
