Congratulations to the winner of the 2011 Scotiabank Giller Prize, Esi Edugyan!
She won the coveted literary prize for her book, “Half Blood Blues“.

To celebrate in all the fun, I attended the GillerLight Bash with my colleagues, friends and fellow book lovers. We watched the ceremony via a humongous screen at The Burroughes, which was a beautiful location.
It was a lovely evening that of course included the amazing photo booth the GillerLight coordinators hooked us all up with and this year they provided props AKA hilarious photos. What I’m about to show you is a small piece of evidence that documents the lovely time that was had in celebrating Esi Edugyan’s well deserved win.

This was a great book. A terrific story. I was so happy that it made the Booker shortlist.
