Sometimes books land on my desk that make me look at my world a little differently. Paul Hornschemeier’s graphic novel, “Life with Mr. Dangerous“ is one of those books. It took me only an hour and a half to power through this 160 page graphic novel and I loved every single page because the story is so easy to relate to for anyone in their 20′s.

Paul Hornschemeier, according to wikipedia is known for his, “thought-provoking explorations of the layered complexities of human life in his work“. This description can be applied to his newest work, developing young Amy who has just turned 25, getting out of a bad relationship, working a dead-end job and spends most evening holed up in her apartment with her lovable cat watching her favorite television show ‘Mr. Dangerous’.

If you’re in your 20′s, or aren’t anymore, but have experienced them, you’ll find this story thought-provoking and you’ll find yourself nodding your head saying things like “oh I’ve been there” or “I hear ya Amy”.  Faced with obstacles we all face and situations where you’re forced to behave a certain way, Paul Hornschemeier definitely knows the root of what being 25 can feel like some days.
