Attention all teens (and all adults that love YA)!!!

I’m a lover of young adult novels and when I heard that Indigo was hosting their first ever Teen Read Awards, I was so excited, because it gives an opportunity for teenagers to hear about really great books that everyone should be reading. If you live in Canada and you vote often, you have a chance to win some pretty rad prizes too, like Indigo gift certificates, Kobo readers and Cineplex gift certificates!

This event is being organized by Indigo and the final results will be announced at the award ceromony on September 25th in Toronto.

Want to know who’s in the running??? Be sure to check out the selections below and please note that for each category, there is a fifth selection that can be chosen by you, if you feel there’s a title missing in a particular category. If you’re interested in casting your vote, click here and have your voice heard!

Go vote and Happy Reading!!! :)

  1. Awesome! Thanks for this post; I’d forgotten about the awards, even though I got a bookmark advertising them when I recently bought Meyer’s new one at Chapters. I just got Shiver and a galley copy of Linger, and I look forward to starting those. I love teen lit, too.

    Off to cast my votes!

  2. Damn, I haven’t really read enough of them to vote.

Have you read the Hunger Games series so far? Are they good? They’re all the rage right now.

      1. Yes, a bookseller at Chapters was raving about it. But I didn’t pick it up because I’d seen the movie Gamer recently and that’s what it reminded me of. Still, the series is getting so much hype, and while I tend to avoid hype, when it’s surrounding literature, I have to at least try.
